i think he has a chance to make it at the next level. one thing for sure, if ozzie newsome and the baltimore ravens picked you to try out for ray lewis' defensive team, then that says a lot...

Excellent news...I was trying to keep an eye out for D'vonte Graham, has anybody heard anything. I thought he'd definitely get a shot. Anybody....?

There are other small players in the NFL that have made an impact as returners which I feel is his best bet. Trindon Holliday is only 5'5" 177lbs Brandon Banks is only 5'7" 153lbs. However the difference is they're from big schools. It's not impossible but it's surely a big mountain to climb

imo, graham doesn't have nfl talent to overcome his size limitations. first and foremost, dude does not like to "tackle" nobody, that won't cut it in the nfl where guys are much bigger and harder to tackle. also, neither banks nor holliday played defensive back in the nfl because just like graham, they were too short to play db.
last but not least, both banks and holliday were "world class" sprinters. i don't think graham is a world class sprinter. holliday runs a 4.2 forty and banks runs a 4.3 forty, and both were track guys. however, banks only lasted 2 years in the nfl, he now plays in the cfl. and holliday has been in the nfl for about 3 or 4 years and has already played on 3 different teams after having been released twice.
just my opinion, but i don't see graham as an nfl prospect. he might have a chance in the cfl or maybe the arena league. not saying its impossible, but i'd be totally shocked if graham is on an nfl roster come september...

Dre Bly was listed at 5'10 and was all muscle when he played. Having seen him twice within the past month I know his measurements were pretty spot on.

great news for isles. good to see we're finally getting back around to guys getting opportunities for a shot in the nfl. i really like olatoye's chances. he's got the size and the toughness. dude is listed at 6'1" 197 lbs which is definitely nfl size for a db. and olatoye ain't scared to "pop" yo azz either! i've always liked his game and i've always felt he was the "unsung hero" of our secondary. i'm still very impressed that a super bowl caliber nfl football team like the ravens who's team identity is clearly "defense", signed olatoye.
i'm a redskins fan but because baltimore is only a 30 minute drive from where i live, the ravens get a lot of local media coverage. so i'll get a chance to monitor olatoye's progress during the ravens rookie camp that's only a couple of weeks away...
