Thanks guys for this great discussion. Honestly, I think the right answer depends on the "type of FBC player" that is available rather than the number. If there's a talented player that can significantly improve our team "and" not ruin our APR, then by all means put him/her on the team. But after all the hell we just went through getting the NCAA off our backs, I don't want to ever go on academic probation again. So far A&T's coaching are doing a great job bring in student athletes. 1969, i agree. i think coach broadway is very "sensitive" about academics given the mess he had to clean up when he first got here. coach broadway is probably thinking, "ain't no way i'm going back to that mess!" i bet he's probably passed up on a few talented guys that he could've signed but didn't want to take a chance on them not performing up to par in the classroom. i'm sure that also plays a role with fbs transfers...

When we win the FCS National Championship, count how many are on that team. NDS has won with out a D 1 transfer in their starting line up both times and only one are two on their team over all . Also NDSU picked up a kid Molick Scott from Brown Summit a DB did we talk to this kid ?

I don't think they're necessarily the right model for us to try and follow.

But I do agree that being the only FCS school in the state helps.
