as far as our db's go, i have a lot of confidence in tony mcrae. i think he'll have a "breakout season" this year and perform at an all meac level. however, i'm more concerned about losing olatoye to graduation than losing graham. graham wasn't very "physical" at the db position and his tackling left a lot to be desired. but olatoye would "pop" your azz! i like physical db's like olatoye who can tackle as well as cover.
aside from mcrae, i guess mattocks is the next man up. and, its gonna be tough replacing travis crosby too..

This why you have competition at QB ? Broadway & Bustle will go with the best option based on spring & fall practice.
You cant make a call on Quick based on last year performace as a freshman. Most great QB"s dont even play as a freshman

Watch out for junior Landis Shoffner (Grimsley) at DB - a taller, stronger, and meaner version of Travis Crosby.

The kid from Greensboro, Grimsley H.S., I think his last name is Shoffner #27, has been starting at corner. He got a lot of playing time last season. He really look good in practice along with McRae at the other corner.

Thanks aggie one. Landis Shoffner, they have been playing him at corner this spring. He still may end up at safety. There is another kid that they have been playing at corner, I don't remember his name but he has a lot of long hair hanging from under his helmet. He was red shirted last season but he practice with the team all season. He has the potential to be pretty good.

Great info guys. I'm going to be sick this season. I dont think I can make but like 3 games total in person this year and I think they are Coastal, Chowan, and the Dirty Burgundy. Just sickening!

I'd thought it would be McRae and Shoffner at CB based on their play last season. But there's a long time until the fall.

I thought one of the starting safeties from last season was returning, cannot remember the name. The other guy along side Crosby. Is he not practicing?

Long braids with reddish blonde hair? That's Jerome Beatty from Charlotte Olympic who was red shirted last season. He is slayer, king of the smack down - extremely fast and a brutal hitter.

Martin is not in spring practice. I talked to him out at practice one day while he and some other players were getting ready to participate in Pro Day. I think he is graduating early and will try to see if he can play at the next level. Aggie One, the kid I was referring to with the long hair does not have braids he just have really long hair like Polamalu of Pittsburgh.

Okay, so Martin graduated early...? That's good...I'm wondering though, why he wouldn't continue on in Grad school to finish his eligibility. But, oh well, I wish him luck. It sounds like they've found suitable back-ups.
