It’s Thursday March 6, 2014. Spring practice begins Monday March 10, 2014. This will be the first spring practice for Broadway and his staff. Each year has shown improvement since Broadway’s arrival and with three recruiting classes under his belt and the APR restrictions lifted, what are we expecting to be different this August? There are some things that don’t need to be reviewed such as players knowing how practice will be ran from the first whistle of warn-up to the final breakdown... That’s what I thought at first, but this is where I’m hoping Broadway and staff cam build on making our way to the promise land. I’m hoping a lot of conversation and a lot of repetition occurs. I’m hoping we see that fine line where talent and football knowledge meets to build a great program. I know we have the talent, but I don’t think we have been able to teach the talent we have for the long term instead of the cramming before the exam approach. Coach Bustle has been here and I believe this is what we all have been waiting for. Instead of coaching and calling plays that he thinks the offense understands, he should be able to teach the full scheme and his philosophy.
Passes have been given (and should have been), but what are we expecting now?
There are also expectations for us: Showing up at games and participating, contributing monetarily and continuing to help create one of the best atmospheres in the MEAC.
There are no right or wrong desires (although there will be), but what’s your thought? Who’s planning on being out there? Who’s cooking the day of the Blue and Gold scrimmage?

Excellent topic....
I really expect frank Foster to establish himself as the #1 QB this spring and show a lot of promise while doing it...

Get creative with Tarik, and the tight ends. I wont make the practice but I hope to see a few more screen plays installed. Depth...build depth.. those late game defensively stands fizzled a few times. Our punter helped to win that App St. Game.
When is the spring game?

A lot of folks don't realize how big of a deal Spring Practice has become. I'm excited that Bustle won't still be installing plays three weeks after the season has started.

I'm expecting nothing major. I want us to be healthy, install plays and get our JUCO transfer ready to be the starter in September.
I also expect our Defensive depth to be worked out somewhat.

Practice starts today at 4:30pm. I still would not count Quick out as the starter this season. With all the competition at QB Quick and all the other QB's will have to pick it up a notch. This competition should be fun to watch playout.

It's too early to tell but based on what I saw last year and the fact that we brought in a bunch of QB's, I'm betting Quick is not seen as the answer. I hope he does do well but it would surprise me if he did.

this year might be the first spring game that i've ever attended, especially if they promote it the way that it should be. i’m anxious to see what bustle can do with our offense now that he is thoroughly familiar with our personnel and now has a full blown spring practice that includes an early enrollment juco qb already at work. our young receivers will be stronger and more mature this year which is a big plus. hopefully foster can establish some good chemistry with our receivers during the offseason and i also hope that our guys will be in a 7-on-7 passing league...
