with the schedule eaves plays, he needs size in the middle when playing major and mid-major programs and also when playing morgan and nsu. currently he has "no one" on his roster that stands 6'10" or taller and he only has two 6'9" players and one is in his last year of eligibility (porter). he's got adequate size at every position except center. even if he's not very talented, sometimes you need someone who can look the opposing center eye to eye and plug up the middle. i'm pretty sure its size that eaves sees in this kid...

aahhbigboy,

Yea this young man is nothing more than a project. I am sure we would have all said the same about Porter. As a project he may pan out and he may not. You got know Eaves is not planning on building anything around this kid. He took him because his a 6'10 project that may be helpful a couple years down the road. If I am correct I think the kid can still take a redshirt.

Not a word from you regarding any of the other pick ups. I am convienced you only log on to be negative and carry-out your one man war / personal assault on Coach Eaves.

Man, what are you talking about? I have repeatedly said up here that Eaves and/or his staff have done a much better job recruiting this year!!!!! But the difference with this dude is that I've actually seen him play. Have you?

Exactly, I know you haven't b/c you would be wondering what the heck is going on. And nobody picks up a project that only has 2 years of eligibility! That's idiotic.

You just saw that I posted something and went on attack. Consequently, your post is wrong and unintelligent. Sorry.

I feel you Oldeschool. But we don't have enough talent to just stick a dud in the middle. UNC, Kentucy, etc. does, but not us. Morgan's kids would eat this guy alive. I've seen him man.

My guess is that he wouldn't be on an athletic scholarship. So he may be a "free" pickup.

According to Rivals we've offered him a scholarship. I suspect Eaves made a deal with him to go to a juco and work on his game for 2 years.

Doesn't sound like he did that very well.

He has not been a bigtime scorer but he is very athletic from what I saw in his online films. He needs work on his fundamentals.

He has a 82 grade by Scouts what does that equate to in rivals; three or four star recruit ?

90-93: High-major minus prospect
Player has the potential to significantly contribute to a national program as a freshman. He could be a four-year contributor with an opportunity to start over the course of his career.

87-89: Mid-major plus prospect
Player could contribute for three or four years at a high-major program or have a significant impact as a freshman at a mid-major program.

83-86: Mid-major prospect
Player should be a solid contributor and two- or three-year starter at a mid-major program.

How Scouts Inc. evaluates

Did A&T only sign one player? What happen to the Dematha G and the player form Mallard Creek?

They signed just no official annoucement. Until the admissions folks finish with them you won't here anything. Nothing strange about that around here. That's standard operating procedure for A&T.
